Did you know that your escrow company and your exchange company ARE NOT the same? You can use a number of exchange companies even if your escrow is at another company–it’s an entirely different transaction with completely different staff. So the next time someone tells you they HAVE to use a certain escrow company just because they’re doing an exchange, tell them it’s not necessary.
